Pulled this one out of the vault from early the 2000's! I struggled with it for a while but it's nice to revisit old material...with an umbrella.
It took me almost an hour to do 3 decent reps of this series. Doing it over and over and over and over again. No breaks. Making small adjustments and corrections every time. My arm grew tired, my umbrella fell apart, I even smashed my face more than once but never did I even contemplate giving up.
One of the best gifts prop manipulation, of any kind, offers to us is the understand that to achieve our goal we must commit to doing a certain skill thousands, possibly millions of times. We do not sit on the floor and cry when we drop it, nor do we allow the discomfort of pain to halt our process. We keep going, we persevere, we have patience, we learn, we do it again. We are relentless in our pursuit of mastery. This metaphor is so applicable to all facets of our lives.
Failure does not exist...only a lesson for the next time!
