I am seeking your objective advice and insight! As I enter the season of booking summer/fall workshops, I would like to begin solidifying my brand and unique offerings as a educator. Although, I am qualified to teach many things, I am most passionate about baton/prop manipulation, acro and conditioning...with a sprinkling of personal development in there too.
In the past, I have worked as an independent contractor for the studios who have so graciously brought me into there space. What I would like to do is grow to host my own, well attended workshops and have these booked well in advance.
What I need help with is clarifying what and to whom I am offering my workshops too. I find that I am too close to the work and often side tracked by millions of bright ideas. So I bring this to you, my dear FB family, if you have any ideas or flashes of insight I would love to hear them! (Provided they are appropriate and helpful.)
My past venture of NINJA STIX has been successful however, I am not interested in pursuing the martial arts side of what that word seems to elicit nor am I interested in teaching small children. But I feel that there is something there pertaining to the "Ninja" aspect of approaching new skills and life in general like a bad ass.
My idea is to offer all baton and manipulation classes under the heading of NINJA STIX. As Baton Twirlers and/or Manipulators, how can I offer Ninja Stix to you in a way that would be appealing? What would draw you in as an adult or competitive athlete?
While the conditioning aspect would fall under the category of NINJA FITNESS.
Acro can perhaps be ACRO NINJA? (It's a working title...needs some work.)
How do I make these workshops valuable and appealing to you? What would you like to see if I came to your studio, city, or gym?
Alternatively, if you are interested in booking a workshop, privates, and/or choreography, I am currently booking all the way into 2017.
